Bridlington Town entertain Whitley Bay next week in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.
Mike Thompson's side ended their friendlies with defeat, at the Hudgell Solicitors Stadium, their only one of the summer, at the hands of Hull Under 23.
The hosts announced two new signings before kick off in striker Jake Martindale and goalkeeper Ben Crosher. Both signings had been on trial at the club during pre season, with Martindale playing the full 90 minutes whilst Crosher was an unused substitute.
Hull led early on, however, it took the hosts just three minutes to react. Will Sutton picked the ball up on the edge of the box and sneaked a right-footed effort under Tom Macauley in the Hull goal.
After 25 minutes, Hull restored their advantage and City couldn’t have asked for a better start to the half with a third goal less than a minute into the second 45.
Just after the hour mark, the visitors added a fourth but Bridlington weren’t going to go down without a fight, however, pulling one back just two minutes later through a Jack Bulless header.
Thompson spoke to Brid Town TV's Kev Grantham post-match:
