Whitby Town will play host to York City this evening in a testimonial match for long serving goalkeeper Shane Bland.
Bland has been at Whitby for ten years and is now close to breaking the clubs appearance record , he says tonight's match will be special.
As well as providing a vital test for Nathan Haslam's squad ahead of the 2024/25 Northern Premier League campaign, tonight's game will also be a chance to celebrate all of goalkeeper Bland's fantastic achievements over ten years at Whitby Town.
Bland says there have been some memorable nights along the way.
