Boosters as well as first and second jabs will be available at Springvale Medical Centre with no need to book.
The Whitby Group Practice are hosting the walk in clinic which will run from 9am until 1pm on both Saturday January 8th and again on the 15th.
No booking is needed for the clinics which are ope to a wide range of people. There are a number of requirements you must meet depending on your age and vaccination status.
- 5–11 years old in a clinical risk group or who are household contact of someone who is immunosuppressed require two paediatric doses eight weeks apart.
- 12 years and over who are severely immunosuppressed need 1st, 2nd, 3rd dose and a booster. 1st, 2nd and 3rd doses need to be eight weeks apart and the booster needs to be three months after having the 3rd dose.
- 12–15 year olds living with someone who is immunocompromised require 1st and 2nd doses eight weeks apart and a booster three months after having the second dose.
- 12–15 year olds with an underlying condition require 1st and 2nd doses at least eight weeks apart and then a booster three months after having their 2nd dose.
- 12–15 year olds with no underlying conditions require 1st and 2nd doses which should be 12 weeks apart.
- 16 and 17 year olds in an at risk group need two vaccines at least eight weeks apart and then a booster three months after having their 2nd dose.
- 16 and 17 year olds not in an at risk group need 1st and 2nd doses 12 weeks apart and then a booster three months after having their 2nd dose.
- 18 years and over require 1st and 2nd doses at least eight weeks apart and then a booster three months after having the 2nd dose.
You must be free of COVID symptoms to attend the walk in clinics.
It is useful if you can take your NHS number with you, but it is not essential.
