The shopping centre's new owners want it to become a a mixed retail and leisure facility.
The new owner of Scarborough's Brunswick Centre says a Cinema is one of the likely uses for the building.
It's been bought by Property group Scarborough International which specialises in redevelopments across the north of England.
Scott McCabe from the firm says they want to revitalise the centre with a mix of retail and leisure facilities and a cinema would work well.
On our Facebook page This is the Coast listeners have been suggesting the building could be used for a cinema, restaurant chains or as an indoor karting centre.
Scott McCabe says some of that could happen.
Scarborough Group International has primarily focussed on developing its portfolio office and residential assets in recent years but it does have experience in the retail space and has recently been involved in another cinema project.
Scott McCabe says bringing a cinema to the site will take some time and that other changes could happen first.
Scott says the company wants the redevelopment of the centre to run in tandem with the council's ambition to rejuvenate the town centre.
