The children, under the age of 10, were last seen thumbing a lift in the Hawsker area and were not wearing any shoes.
Police were searching the area and have posted this onto social media this evening:
Great news!
We are very pleased to let you know that the children who were seen at the side of the road "thumbing a lift" in the Hawsker area near Whitby, have been found safe and well.
Thank you to everyone who has shared our appeal and those who have called in with information.
It is very much appreciated.
