Last week the Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor Anne Handley, met with Government Ministers to try and move forward plans for Hull and East Yorkshire to create a combined Mayoral Authority and unlock the devolution cash.
Councillor Handley says being without a deal is frustrating.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Hull are looking at creating a "Combined Mayoral Authority" as part of the governments plans for devolution.
It would effectively create a new layer of local governance with an elected Mayor receiving devolved powers and funding from Westminster over areas such as transport policy, skills training and some economic development.
