The North Yorkshire Moors Railway restarts Passenger services today.
Steam trains will be back in Whitby this weekend as the North Yorkshire Moors Railway reopens to passengers for the first time since December.
From today the Railway will be operating trains to and from Whitby every day, as well as intermediate services between Pickering and Grosmont.
The railway will operate with Covid-19 mitigations in place, until the summer holidays, with pre-booked end to end services with a set departure and return time. Our intermediate services, between Pickering and Grosmont, will give passengers the opportunity to hop-on and hop-off and explore Levisham, Goathland and Grosmont stations.
Luke Hudman from the railway says there has been a lot going on during the lockdown closure.
Passengers will be able to get back on board the vintage locomotives in Whitby and Pickering.
Luke Hudman says it's great to see the railway coming back to life.
