There are more concerns about the impact that the poor water quality rating at Bridlington South Beach might have on tourism and a suggestion that compensation might be needed.
The East Riding Council's Portfolio Holder for Economic Investment, Growth and Tourism - Councillor Jane Evison - says it's good that the water quality issue is being talked about and that pressure is being bought to bare to get it resolved.
But, Councillor Evison, says all the talk might also have a less desirable flip side.
There are also concerns about the impact on tourism business in Bridlington and a suggestion that they should be compensated if visitor numbers fall this year, as a result of the poor water quality rating at South Beach.
Bridlington South Councillor - Tim Norman - thinks that might need to be looked at if the water issues can't be resolved quickly.
The Environment Agency is advising people not to bath at South Beach for the rest of the year, despite neighbouring beaches, including Bridlington North Beach, getting good ratings. The reason for the poor water quality rating at south beach remains a mystery.
