Secondary Pupils Advised to Use Facemasks As Schools Return

Secondary Students returning to school on the Yorkshire Coast this week are being advised to wear facemasks in the classroom, but it's not compulsory.

As students return to the classroom today there are a number of changes to the way secondary schools and colleges will operate.

All secondary and college students will be offered twice weekly testing and face masks are recommended in the classroom and not just in communal areas.

But as Amanda Newbold from North Yorkshire County Council explains the masks are not compulsory

Amanda says facemasks have been used in Schools for some time.
