Evie Hodgson was diagnosed with Very Severe Aplastic Anaemia during the coronavirus lock-down.
A potential transplant operation in August fell through and now Evie is having weekly blood and platelet transfusions.

Initially it seemed that Evie had been lucky as a match for the transplant was found quickly and the procedure was planned to take place in August. But just a few weeks before the planned transplant date the plans fell through.
The search for a new donor has been continuing ever since, and now doctors are persuing another form of treatment.
