A group of Scarborough Footballers are preparing to play a 12 hour match for charity.
The players will be taking part in the marathon game to raise funds for the new Yorkshire MND Centre in Leeds, inspired by ex Rugby League player Rob Burrows
Event organiser - Paul Tymon - says the players are now in training for the event which will take place in May.
Motor neurone disease (MND) is an uncommon condition that affects the brain and nerves that causes weakness that gets worse over time.
A vision of Dr Agam Jung, Consultant Neurologist and clinical lead for the motor neurone disease service, Leeds Hospitals Charity are looking to raise £5 million to build The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease.
By donating to the charity appeal, you can support the creation of a bespoke centre that delivers excellent patient-centred care in a supportive purpose-built environment suitable for the needs of the 21st century.
As part of the fundraising, for the new Yorkshire MND Centre in Leeds, the 12 hour charity football match is going to take place at the end of May (31st May) at Raincliffe, in Scarborough.
Paul explains how the 12 hours will work.
