The all weather lifeboat launched from Scarborough at 9:33pm
Scarborough's all-weather lifeboat 13-15 Frederick William Plaxton launched "on service" at 9:33pm according to the RNLI website.
Scarborough Coastguard teams were also seen with flashing lights travelling along Filey Road in the town around the same time.
