13-15 Frederick William Plaxton, Scarborough's all weather lifeboat, has returned home just in time for Christmas.
The vessel has been at the RNLI headquarters in Poole having an upgrade to the jet systems which propel her through the water.
The relief vessel left Scarborough at 7am yesterday and the volunteer crew of six passaged to Hartlepool where 13-15 was waiting. The crew then returned to Scarborough arriving back on the beach at around 1pm.

The Scarborough team say..
We're pleased to have her home and look forward to returning to training in the new year.
If you find yourself in the water unexpectedly, fight your instincts and float until the effects of cold water shock pass.
If you see someone else in trouble at the coast, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
