Scarborough CC will look to hit back quickly on Sunday, after another league defeat, on Saturday.
Boro are still looking for their first win in Yorkshire Premier North after defeat to Harrogate on Saturday.
The hosts bowled well after putting Harrogate into bat, but a 70-run seventh-wicket stand, helped the away side to 231/8.
Boro had reduced them to 47/4 and 90/6. Corey Hart took 3/40 and Clark Doughney 3/53- there was a wicket each for Jack Redshaw and Prince Bedi.
Scarborough's batting again failed to fire, though, despite all the top four getting starts. They fell from 59/2 to 115/7, eventually staggering to 180 all out.
Matthew Turnbull top-scored with 38 as Scarborough lost by 51 runs.
They do have a quickfire chance to turn things around in Group 2 of the ECB National Championship- away at Richmondshire, on Sunday.
Bridlington were also beaten, in a much closer contest in YPN Championship East.
After being put in, at Duke's Park, Brid made plenty of starts but only skipper Ricky Robinson made a big impact, with a crucial 50, to help his side to 171/8 from their 50 overs.
Brid's bowlers competed well, with visitors Woodhouse Grange reduced to 78/4. However, a 71-run fifth-wicket stand proved costly as Grange won by five wickets with six balls to spare.
Casey Rudd took 2/26, with further wickets for Robinson, Steve Janney and Russell Robinson.
In the same division, Folkton & Flixton hosted Brandesburton in what turned out to be a thriller.
The East Riding Village, near Hornsea, were put in and found it tough going.
They were skittled for 203 with their opener agonisingly removed for 99.
Lee Elvidge took 3 for 38 and there were pairs of wickets for Callum Hatton, Charlie Colley and the impressive Rehaan Shyamsundar, Connor Stephenson's tight spell yielded 1/40.
Skipper Harry Walmsley's 74 held together Folkton & Flixton's reply but it was left to the bowlers Shyamsundar and Colley who put on an unbroken 21, as the innings went to the final ball and the sides tied with the hosts 203/7 from their 50 overs.
In North Yorkshire South Durham Division One, Whitby had a day to forget.
Asked to bat first, at the Turnbull Ground, only former skipper Kai Morris managed double figures with 17.
The hosts were shot out for just 57 in 30 overs.
Visitors Normanby Hall then strode to victory, inside 15 overs, as Steve Allen took the only wicket.
