A Scarborough man is preparing for his fifth visit to Ukraine to take baby food to families near the front line.
Michael Betoin is heading back out to the war torn country at the end of the month on a mission to take essential supplies to families living near to the front line.
On August 29th, Michael will be going back to Kharkiv for the fifth time and will take a load of donated baby food, children medical and other urgent aid to Kharkiv with him. Michael says he will stay there again for 3 months to work with the Turbota charity.
Michael has a target of £1000 and 1000 items for the trip. So far, he has £580 and 345 items.
So far, in his previous trips Michael says he has collected and donated over 15,000 urgent items, over £5000 donated cash and bought and delivered a fully equipped £15k Renault minibus for aid deliveries and evacuations.
Michael says the trips to Ukraine are not without dangers and he has come under fire on several occasions.
Michael says delivering aid missions to Ukraine has become harder as the war continues.
Michael is hoping that local people will feel able to make a small donation to the baby food appeal, he says it all adds up.
