
Trevor Bull thinks the club has turned a corner as it recovers from a season of injury issues.
Scarborough Athletic has faced a challenging season, significantly impacted by a high number of player injuries but reflecting on the difficulties, chairman Trevor Bull suggests that the club has seemingly found a successful formula on the pitch.
However, the chairman highlighted the considerable disruption caused by player unavailability throughout the season and the impact that has on teh clubs finances.
Despite the setbacks, Trevor believes there is optimism for the future. The chairman indicated that "most of the squad" is now nearing full fitness, although he acknowledged that "there's still one or two long-term injuries which they probably won't be back till next season now or right at the end of this one". Nevertheless, the chairman believes this return to fitness "bodes well for next season".
Boro make the long trip to Northamptonshire to face Brackley Town on Saturday, looking to continue their 5 game unbeaten run and consecutive clean sheets.
Brackley are in the running for the playoffs, they are currently 3rd in the table 4 points adrift from league leaders Scunthorpe United and 2 points behind 2nd place Kidderminster.
In their last 5 games, they have picked up 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw. There most recent game saw a 1-0 loss to Kidderminster on Tuesday night at St James Park.
The last time the two sides met, was back in December at Scarborough Sports Village, when goals from Kieran Weledji and Alex Brown secured the 2-1 against 10 man Brackley. The Seadogs also had success last season, when travelling to face Brackley, coming away with 1-0 win just before Christmas.
