Runswick Bay's rescue boat was diverted from a training exercise on Sunday to help a stricken yacht
The team from the volunteer run rescue boat say :
"Whilst out on training this morning we were tasked by Humber Coastguard to assist a stricken yacht located 1 1/2 miles off Runswick Bay. The yachts propeller had become entangled on lobster pot ropes.
RBRB was unable to free the boat and further help was requested from Staithes & Runswick RNLI.
On scene the RNLI lifeboat was able to successfully manoeuvre the yacht freeing it from the obstruction"
The yacht continued it's journey under sail.
