Pikes in Glorious Comeback

Pickering Town roared back from 2-0 down on the opening day of the new Northern Counties East Premier season.

Tony Hackworth's men went two goals down at Frickley Athletic.

Three goals in as many second half minutes then turned the match on its head.

George Brown pulled a goal back on 57 minutes before Harry Jessop netted twice in two minutes around the hour mark.

Wayne Brooksby then sealed a 4-2 victory from the penalty spot in the last minute.

Hackworth spoke to the club's YouTube channel after the game:

Pikes are next in action, next Saturday, away at Northern League First Division Penrith, in the Extra Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
