Parents on the Yorkshire Coast are being urged to make sure their youngsters understand and follow the lockdown rules during the half term week.
North Yorkshire Police say they have seen an increasing number of calls to incidents involving groups of young people gathering both outdoors and inside over the last few weeks, in contravention of the lockdown regulations.
Inspector Mike Walker from North Yorkshire Police says that while youngsters should be taking their daily exercise it must be done with the lockdown rules.
Inspector Walker says it's been a tough time for the county's young people, but that everyone needs to stick to the rules to help beat the virus.
