Tim Forber has revealed the force has plans in place around the government's early release programme.
He says there's relatively small numbers affected in North Yorkshire.
He revealed the force have got offender management plans ready for those most likely to re-offend:
Around 1,750 people were released early in September in a bid to reduce overcrowding in UK prisons, more followed last month.
