North Yorkshire Fire and rescue service says it has more work to do in creating a diverse workforce.
A drive to increase the diversity of North Yorkshire's Firefighters is making progress.
That's the view of the Chief Fire Officer who says a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy is seeing changes made across the service, to attract a more diverse Workforce.
But, Jonathon Dyson admits there is much more to do.
Just 2% of North Yorkshire's firefighters are from ethnic backgrounds and only 14% are women. Nationally that figure is 18%
