Scarborough suffered a heavy defeat in their first outing of the new cricket season, in Yorkshire Premier North.
After being put into bat by hosts Castleford, opener Robert Pinder top-scored with 36 as Boro slipped from 59/1 to 107 all out.
Only two other Boro batters made double figures.
In reply, the West Yorkshire side reached their target in the 23rd over with seven wickets in hand.
Jack Redshaw took 2 for 24 and new signing from Whitby, Corey Hart, 1/23.
In the YPN Championship, Bridlington had a fine first day victory at Cottingham.
After being asked to bat first, skipper Casey Rudd led the way with 79, with Will Norman adding a useful 39 as Brid reached 220/7 from their 50 overs.
It proved to be more than enough as the hosts folded to 115 all out in the 39th over. Rudd impressed with the ball too, taking 3 for 11, Steve Janney took 3/32, Adam Newington 2/40 and Ben Traves 1/31.
Elsewhere in the division, Folkton & Flixton were edged out in a final over thriller at home to Welton.
The visitors chose to bat first and put on a half century opening partnership. They were then reduced to 92/5 by skilful home bowling.
However, they rallied to add 130 with the loss of just one more wicket, posting 222/6 from 50 overs.
There were two wickets apiece for Connor Stephenson, Elliot Hatton and Charlie Colley.
In reply, the villagers were going well at 122/2. Will Hutchinson made 46, with useful contributions from Harry Walmsley (39) and Hatton with 35.
It all came down to the final over, with Folkton & Flixton requiring 9 to win and the final pair at the crease. Unfortunately, Lee Elvidge was bowled for 10 and the hosts came up just short of their target.
Whitby were set to start their campaign, in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One, however the weather intervened and their clash with Billingham Synthonia was postponed.
