It's Derby Day on the Yorkshire Coast

Whitby Town play host to Scarborough Athletic tonight in the first meeting of the sides in the league this season.

Boro closed to within 4 points of town at the weekend adding even more interest to tonight's fixture.

The Seadogs may also debut new signing Bradley Plant, who joined the squad from Guisborough Town yesterday.

The 25 year old said on signing for the Seadogs

" I want to be playing at the highest level possible and challenging myself".

"Supporters can expect pace when driving forward with the ball, which is a big part of my game".

Plant joins Athletic after spells with Guisborough Town, Thornaby, Marske United and a professional spell in Sweden.

Bradlley could feature in tonight's game if FA clearances can be obtained in time.

Speaking to Scarborough Athletic TV, Boro Boss Jono Greening said he reminded his players of the importance of tonight's game in his post match chat on Saturday.

Whitby boss Lee Bullock says it's a big game for both sides, and a win will bring a confidence boost for either side.

Kick off at the Towbar Express Stadium is at 7:45 tickets are available on the Whitby Town website.

Whitby Town CEO Grahame Hinchliffe is reminding fans tonight's match is an all ticket game.
