Filey's memorial arch is to be monitored by surveyors after reports that it has a lean.
The Town Council says it's asked experts to keep an eye on the structure.
Chair of the council's property committee - Councillor Karen Hubbard - says it's not clear is the lean is new or historical.
The Memorial Arch is at the entrance to the memorial gardens. It is a stone arch with bronze plaques attached to each of the supporting pillars listing the names of the men who gave their lives in the two world wars. The left hand column contains the names for World War 1 and the right hand column the names for World War 2.
The council says it has asked it's surveyors to assess the current amount of lean and then monitor the amount of lean every month for the next six months.
