The local people of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are set to take part in a week dedicated to climate change.
The 'Great Big Green Week' campaign returns to the Yorkshire Coast with the hopes of drawing attention to the natural environment.
David Stone, who's the strategic development officer at Coast and Vale Community Action - says that the week will be a celebration for what the local community do to look after the environment.
Across the Yorkshire Coast there will be free community events as well as special offers from local businesses in the area.
The community events include a repair cafe at The Street in Scarborough as well as a community picnic in The Street gardens.
David Stone says that the week has been well supported by the local community.
