North Yorkshire's Director of Public Health issues a reminder of the self isolation rules.
The COVID infection rate in the Scarborough Borough is higher today than it was last November when the borough had one of the highest rates in the country.
The seven day average infection rate stands at 633 per 100,000 people. The North Yorkshire rate is 570, the all England rate is 520.
North Yorkshire's Director of Public Health, Louise Wallace, says it's no time for complacency, especially around self isolation.
Despite the increase in infections the number of hospital cases remains low, there are three cases in Scarborough Hospital and 100 across North Yorkshire.
That's being put down to the effectiveness of the vaccine roll-out.
Richard Webb is the county councils director of health and adult services he says the vaccination programme has played a part in that but that the NHS is still under pressure.
