Scarborough has 2 flood warnings in force. The first is for Foreshore Road:
This flood warning has been issued as weather conditions along the coast are forecast to cause overtopping waves and spray on Thursday 29/12/2022, between 9.00 AM and 11.00 AM. Areas most at risk are properties in Scarborough at Foreshore Road from the roundabout to West Pier. Consider activating any property flood protection products. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
The 2nd, for Sandside reads:
This flood warning has been issued as weather conditions along the coast are forecast to cause overtopping waves and spray on Thursday 29/12/2022, between 10.00 AM and 11:30 AM. Properties most at risk are in Scarborough at Sandside around the Old Harbour. Consider activating any property flood protection products. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. Plan driving routes to coastal roads, which may be flooded.
There is also a Flood Alert for the Yorkshire Coast between Whitby and Filey:

This flood alert has been issued as weather conditions along the coast are forecast to cause overtopping waves and spray on Wednesday 28/12/2022, between 9:00 PM and midnight. Areas most at risk include areas of Bridlington around the lifeboat station and South Pier. We will continue to monitor the forecast. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
