Saturday's storms affected roads up and down the Yorkshire Coast, particularly in Scarborough.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue were called to Hackness Road just after 3pm, which was one of those worst affected.
One of the officers inspected flooding in the area and arranged for a road closure to be put in place to prevent any drivers becoming stuck in flood water, if the water continued to rise.
A crew from Scarborough also attended and cleared a nearby drain to pump rain water away from housing using a light portable pump.
Peasholm Park was also badly hit with flood water affecting the nearby A171 and spilling across towards the open air theatre.
