Filey's little bus will be making it's final calls today but plans are afoot to save the service.
Filey's community bus service will be carrying it's final passengers today.
Colin Galway who runs the community transport scheme is retiring, but he's leaving the bus behind and there is now an effort to form a new group to take on the running of the service.
Councillor Sam Cross says the Little Bus has been a fantastic service for Filey residents.
With Colin retiring after 17 years, Sam Cross is hopeful that a solution can be found to keep the bus on the road.
The plan is for a local group to be set up to take on the running of the community bus service for the town. Sam Cross is one of those involved in trying to keep the service going, he hopes local people will come forward to help.
Sam thinks that the residents who rely on the Little Bus service are going to miss not only the service but also the personal touch that Colin has bought to the bus over the years.
A survey has been launched to get local people's views on the service.
Backed by the town council the survey says:
"The information which we will collate from the results of this survey will help identify key areas of service for the Little Bus, as well as support for the Little Bus moving forward. Without community support the provision of a service within the town, unfortunately will not be possible.
Information gathered will be further developed through an upcoming community consultation event."
