Fewer Business Failures Than Normal in North Yorkshire in January

Business leaders say fewer firms are failing but recruitment remains an issue.

Business leaders in North Yorkshire say the number of business failures in January was lower than would normally be expected.

Helen Simpson is Chair of the North Yorkshire local Enterprise Partnership.

Meanwhile a shortage of workers in North Yorkshire is good news for employees with unemployment rates remaining low but bad news for employers who are finding it hard to recruit staff.

Helen Simpson says it's a bit of a double edged sword.
