The agency hopes new data will provide insights into the bathing water quality issues at the resorts.
A study looking at the reasons for the poor water quality at Bridlington South beach could offer insights into the problems in the next few weeks.
The Environment Agency say a meeting to firm up the actions to be taken as a result of the hydrodynamic modelling study will be happening shortly.
Claire Campbell from the agency says some of the issues at Bridlington were identified in an earlier study.
The Environment Agency also says that water samples taken at Scarborough South Bay during an intensive study this summer are now with their scientists for analysis.
The South Bay received a "poor" classification in the latest bathing water quality ratings released last month.
Claire Campbell says the new samples should help identify the causes of the poor results.
Scarborough South Bay and Bridlington South Beach both retained "poor" ratings in the latest classifications, the only two beaches on the Yorkshire coast to have the lowest level of classification.
