The Government has launched a consultation on whether care home staff should be required to have a COVID vaccine.
The SAGE group of experts is suggesting that at least 80 percent of care home staff need to be vaccinated in order to provide protection against outbreaks in care homes. They say currently only 53 percent of care homes in England meet that level.
Richard Webb is North Yorkshire County Council's director of Adult Care services. He think's it's a good idea.
Richard added that he's encouraging everyone to take part in the discussion.
