Concern Bridlington is Missing Out on Health Diagnostics

Bridlington's Health Forum is calling for more diagnostic facilities to be made available in the town.

Chair of the Forum - Dr Alan Clarke - fears that under the latest regional health care plan, the local population are being expected to travel to get access to diagnostic services

In June the local Integrated Care Board announced that new diagnostic centres would be built in Scarborough and Beverly, but that Bridlington Hospital would not get a diagnostic centre.

Bridlington Health Forum says it's concerned the town is missing out on health facilities because of it's coastal location.

Dr Clarke says that with diagnostic centres  being planned for other parts of the East Riding, he feels Bridlington is missing out.

The Bridlington Health Forum is a group of volunteers representing local residents. They aim to offer listening ears and a voice to Bridlington and area residents who are concerned about local health care provision and  seek to influence healthcare provision through the NHS and East Riding Council.
