Jake Day says he's glad to be back on the Yorkshire Coast
Manager, Nathan Haslam, told Whitby Town TV he hopes Jake's signing will help to fix the clubs goal drought.
The 6ft 2inch striker arrives from Matlock and has signed a permanent deal at the Towbar Express Stadium @ The Turnbull Ground, subject to FA approval.
At the age of 30, Day has strong experience in non-league football, having played for Scarborough Athletic, Guiseley, Alfreton Town and Bridlington Town, along with Matlock.
His most notable career achievements so far include gaining promotion to the National League North with Yorkshire Coast rivals Scarborough via the play-offs last season, and scoring 85 goals in just 107 for Bridlington during his days there.
As the club welcomed Jake yesterday there was also a departure form the club. Striker Marcus Giles has left to join Bishop Auckland after just over two years at the Towbar Express Stadium @ The Turnbull Ground
