The 100 year old nephew of a former Bridlington RNLI coxswain has been fundraising for the lifeboat station.
The Bridlignton RNLI team say that a visit on Tuesday was the first time a 'centenarian' has visited the station.
Roland Newby is the nephew of Walter Newby who was coxswain at Bridlington from 1959-1959.
Roland who celebrated his 100th birthday last week held a ‘No Gift’ party but instead collected £192 which he kindly donated to Bridlington RNLI.

Roland is pictured with Lifeboat Operation Manager, Steve Clark and volunteer Dave Coverdale as well as opening his birthday card from non-other than the RNLI Patron King Charles III with his daughters Janice and Jackie.

The Bridlington RNLI team said:
"Happy belated birthday Roland from all the volunteers at Bridlington RNLI and thank you."
