The A171 near Scarborough Hospital is flooded, with cars stranded, after early thundery downpours hit the coast.
We have received calls from concerned listeners who have seen cars stranded, with some vehicles attempting to drive through the deep flood water.
Vehichles coming from the hospital are faced with floodwater whichever way they turn onto Scalby Road.

Whilst some vehichles are stranded, others are still attempting to get through.

Iain reported Hackness Road at the junction of Moor Lane in Scarborough was impassable.
