A cat has been rescued by the RSPCA after being found with a PIPE stuck around his neck.
The animal charity was contacted by a concerned member of the public who found the feline in the tricky situation in Driffield on Tuesday.
Animal rescue officer Hannah Williams attended to rescue the cat and, after seeing how tight the pipe was around his neck, realised it would be more than a one-person job. She took the cat to a vets in Bridlington who, thankfully, removed the pipe.
Hannah said:
“This pipe was so tightly wedged around his neck that it’s hard to say how it got there or how long it’d been there. The vets managed to remove the pipe and gave the cat a good check over. Thankfully he wasn’t injured after his ordeal.”
The cat lived on a local farm so after an overnight stay at the vets, he was dropped back home at the farm.
Hannah added:
"We just hope this moggy avoids any more pipes!"
