Bridlington Social Inclusion Charity Launches 2025 Events

The Bridlington Friends Association has a busy January planned with a variety of events for members.

The social inclusion charity launches it's 2025 programme today with a BFA Friendship and Craft Cafe.

The BFA Friendship and Craft Cafe will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at the Town Bar, Queensgate from 1-4pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring crafts or hobbies to work on and share with others. Entrance and tea and coffee are free. The bar will be open for other refreshments.

There will be two BFA Eatery events in January. The first will be a breakfast brunch on Thursday, January 16th at Trackers Cafe in the Bessingby Industrial Estate, Bridlington. The event starts at 10am. Trackers Cafe is a retro cafe with reasonably priced, freshly cooked food. Booking is required.

The second BFA Eatery event will be lunch on Monday, January 27th at 12.30pm at the Friendly Forester, Marton Road, Bridlington. The pub has a wide selection of meals. You can order and pay on the day, but booking is required to reserve a table.

The new BFA Strolling Group will meet on Monday, January 20th at 11am at Sewerby Hall and Gardens. The group is open to all BFA members. The stroll is suitable for all, including those who use wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or walking sticks. There are benches along the route to rest.

After the stroll, the group will have coffee or lunch at the Clock Tower Cafe. Those who want a longer walk can join group leader Bruce Oliver on a 2-mile round trip to Danes Dyke. Appropriate footwear and attire is required for the longer walk.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens is free to enter, and there is free parking.

The BFA Monthly Social will take place on Wednesday, January 22nd at the Town Bar, Queensgate from 1-4pm. The speaker will be John D Slater, who will present "An Actor's Life for Me - Part 2". Slater has worked as an actor for over 50 years and will share interesting tales, witty sketches, and songs. Entrance is £1, and there will be a raffle.

The BFA Quiz Night will be held on Thursday, January 30th at the Town Bar, Queensgate. The event starts at 7pm. The quiz will consist of eight rounds with multiple categories. Entrance is £2 per person. All entrance fees will be paid out in team cash prizes. There will also be a raffle and a cash for questions round.

All BFA groups will run as normal throughout January.
