Bridlington's land train team are warning about the dangers of loose dogs after a second near miss.
On Friday the land train team reported another incident involving an uncontrolled dog occurred on Bridlington South Promenade.
The team say :
"A dog ran from the beach, chased alongside the land train, and then darted in front of it, causing the driver to brake suddenly to avoid a collision.
Fortunately, the train narrowly missed the dog, which then ran back towards its owner on the beach. The owner, attempting to call the dog back, moved away from the scene.
Our land train driver followed the correct procedure and checked on the passengers. A child was treated for minor injuries.
While our drivers do their best to avoid hitting loose dogs, please be aware that the council cannot be held responsible for any injuries or fatalities involving uncontrolled dogs. Passenger safety is our top priority.
We urge all dog owners to keep their pets under control at all times when walking on the promenades and Sewerby cliff top to ensure everyone's safety.

It follows a similar incident in April when three people were treated for minor injuries.
