Brid Relief As Point Proves Enough in County Durham

Bridlington Town have secured their NPL East status after a 1-1 draw at Consett on Saturday.

Adie Costello's men fell behind inside six minutes.

However, Benn Lewis' strike on the half hour proved enough to salvage a draw.

Because of Brid's better goal difference, they finish above Brighouse, who took the second-bottom spot in NPL East, despite winning 2-0.
