
Scarborough Borough Council have discussed funding risk areas such as the Whitby Harbour legal battle and chasing levelling-up funding.
The Fight 4 Whitby Group- made up of local residents, says the authority must pump all the money it makes from the town's harbour amenities back into maintaining the harbour, citing a 1905 rule from the old Whitby Urban Council.
The Borough Council have been unable to sign off on annual costs since legal action was brought in 2015.
Over a million pounds could be diverted to the harbour, but Borough Council Monitoring Officer Lisa Dixon says the authority should be ok whatever the court decides in the autumn:
The Borough Council are also desperate to be successful in their bid for levelling up funding.
The authority missed out on the main multi-million pound round of the government's 'town deal' money.
But Lisa says some of that funding has been secured:
