For Whitby Town it was far from a Good Friday as they suffered a heaviest league defeat of the season.
The Blues were beaten 4-1 at play-off chasing Ashton United.
However, it was the visitors who led as Stephen Walker netted at the second attempt from close range.
That was as good as it got for Nathan Haslam's men who were 2-1 down after conceding from set pieces late in the first half.
A penalty made it three and a late fourth made sure of the result for an in-form Ashton side.
Haslam had no excuses for a poor display when speaking to Whitby Town TV after the match:
