Beauty Spot Vandalism in Flamborough

Humberside Police's Rural Task Force say they've received reports from East Riding of Yorkshire Council of Anti Social Behaviour related criminal damage at Danes Dyke.

They have been told vehicles have been driven across grassed picnic areas, with reports of wildlife crime and theft of wood using chain saws.

Danes Dyke is part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), a Historic England Scheduled Monument and local Nature Reserve owned by East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The rural task force added that offences committed against Historic Monuments will be investigated by police and their partners with positive action taken against those responsible. They advise the public, if they witness damage in progress, suspected wildlife crime or theft of wood at Danes Dyke, to contact police on 999 for crimes in progress.
