Battling Brid Stay Right Side of Line As Relegation Race Goes To Wire

Nine teams are separated by six points as they battle to avoid one remaining relegation spot in NPL East.

Bridlington Town are one of those sides, but their 2-2 draw at Liversedge means the West Yorkshire side are relegated, alongside Sherwood Colliery and already-down Sheffield.

It could have been so much better for Michael Thompson's men as they were seconds away from a win that would have lifted them two places and two points closer to safety.

Danny Earl broke the deadlock, on 12 minutes, as he nodded home the rebound after initially heading against a post.

However, the hosts levelled, 12 minutes into the second half.

It looked as though Brid had won it, though, with Earl's second in injury time, only for the home side to level again with virtually the last kick.
