
Drivers using the A64 near Malton in North Yorkshire are warned to expect delays in the area as the road is closed between Musley Bank and Staxton due to a burst water main.
The road is expected to be closed for "at least 48 hours" in both directions between the B1248 (Scagglethorpe, Norton-on-Derwent) and B1249 (Willerby, Staxton) while repairs are carried out by Yorkshire Water and road surface reinstated.
Drivers using the area are advised to find alternative routes with diversions signed locally.
National Highways say contractors are in attendance however, the road is expected to be closed for a considerable amount of time.

North Yorkshire Police reported on Sunday that a hole has appeared in the road at Rillington leading to a closure there.
Officers said:
"Due to the fact that the road is now sinking we are going to have to close the A64 at Rillington. Please find alternate routes."
