£1k Donation for Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team

The cash will buy new rope rescue kit for the volunteer rescue service.

Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain rescue team have been able to add new essential kit to their rescue land-rovers after receiving a one thousand pound donation from Scarborough charity 'Our Co'.

The Our Co team responded to a Coast Appeal they heard on This is the Coast.

Ian Hugill from the mountain rescue team explains how the money will be used.

Pete Thompson from the volunteer run Mountain Rescue Team says its a very welcome donation in what's been a hard year for fundraising.
