The event, which happened overnight from Friday to Saturday, was in aid of the Rob Burrow centre for Motor Neurone Disease.
Rob passed away on Sunday.
Paul Tymon was one of the organisers of the fundraiser and was feeling the burn by full-time:
The group of Scarborough footballers played a 12-hour match as part of the efforts to raise £6.8 million to build a specialist MND (Motor Neurone Disease) Care Centre in Leeds, to give people living with the condition the best quality of life possible.
The game took place at Raincliffe Sports Centre.
Paul says he'd done one of the marathons before, but it had been a while:
He added the following statement:
'Thank you. £6,396 raised for MND.
So many people to thank.
I apologise if I miss anyone.
Firstly all you players and collectors of sponsors.
The unbelievable Scarborough public and beyond for their amazing donations!
Without you the players it obviously doesn’t happen. You haven’t given an afternoon up, you’ve played at least 6 hours of football through the night!
Some unbelievable amounts of money raised by you too.
