Scarborough Pancake Day Races 2025

Your business can take part in the Fancy Dress Pancake Day Race organised by North Yorkshire Council in partnership with This is the Coast on Tuesday March 4th 2025.

It’s not just about how quickly you complete the obstacle course as teams can earn extra points for fancy dress, entertaining the crowd and how much pancake is left in the pan at the end of the race.

The event will follow the ringing of the famous Pancake Bell by the Scarborough Mayor at 12pm so we ask all teams to be at the stage on Aberdeen Walk in Scarborough between 11am and 11.30am.

There will be certificates and prizes for the runners up and of course the Golden Frying Pan for the winners along with a six month membership at Everyone Active.

Pancakes will be prepared by the hospitality and catering students at Scarborough TEC who are studying full time for a career in the industry.

Everyone Active are providing and manning the obstacle course. They are also providing a prize of an Everyone Active 6 month membership for both particpants of the winning team.
